How Will Your Leadership Presence Be Felt?

What is Your Leadership Strategy?

A leader’s presence is a lot like perfume or cologne.

You may leave the room…

👉🏽 but the experience of you lingers much longer.

People remember:

  • how you made them feel
  • whether they felt safe speaking up
  • whether your energy brought calm or chaos
  • whether your presence created confidence… or tension

That’s why how you show up matters so much.

I remember working with a leader who was incredibly smart.

Great resume. Great strategy. Great ideas.

But every time they entered a meeting, the room changed.

People stopped talking freely.
Energy tightened.
Ideas became shorter.
Everyone became cautious.

And the leader couldn’t understand why engagement was low.

Because technically?

Nothing “bad” was happening.

But emotionally?

The team experienced pressure every time that leader showed up.

And that’s the thing about leadership:

👉🏽 Your presence speaks before you do.

Your tone.
Your facial expressions.
Your reactions under stress.
Your consistency.

Those are silent leadership signals.

It’s like walking into a room with music playing in the background.

Even if nobody talks about the music…

👉🏽 everyone feels the mood it creates.

That’s leadership presence.

And emotional intelligence helps us become aware of the emotional atmosphere we carry into rooms.

Because people don’t just follow plans.

They follow:

  • energy
  • consistency
  • emotional safety
  • trust

Which means…

👉🏽 How you show up is your strategy.

Not just your ideas.
Not just your credentials.

But the experience people have when they interact with you.

Because leadership is not just seen.

👉🏽 It’s felt. 💜

P.S. If you know someone that can use this, feel free to share.

Not tired because she doesn't love what she does. Actually... She still loves the work. She loves serving people. She loves making a difference. What...

Because after a while… 👉🏽 Repeated behavior stops being accidental. It becomes a choice we continue choosing. And that’s not judgment. That’s awareness. Sometimes we minimize...
